Web Developer

Design - Create - Deploy

Hi, my name is Matthew Lin and I graduated from UCSD with a chemical engineering degree. Although I enjoyed the skills that the field provided me, I yearned for something more practical and decided to pursue programming. Since then, I've built full stack applications, utilizing both front-end and back-end technologies, and I am constantly exposing myself to new tech stacks as I enjoy learning and new challenges.

I am aiming to become a full-fledged software engineer, with an emphasis on front-end and full stack development. Please take a look at my resume to get a more in-depth look on my skills and projects. If any of it interests you, feel free to get in touch with me through any of the contact information I have provided. I hope you have a good day!

Projects

shoedidas

shoedidas is a full stack application built by 4 team members. The aim of the site is to replicate the adidas product page to look as close to the real thing as possible. My component was the ratings/reviews section and the footer. Feel free to take a look at my github and the link to find out more about this application!

Gomoku

Gomoku is a game played on a 15 x 15 board played by two players where the first player to connect five stones in a row wins. The online mode of this application was built utilizing web sockets and so two players can play against each other in real time. Feel free to take a look at my github and the link to find out more about this application!

Yelp-Clone

Yelp-clone is an application that allows the user to search for nearby places based on the user's location. From the search results, the user can find out information about each place such as address, rating, hours, etc. as well as see the location displayed as a marker on a Google Maps UI. Feel free to take a look at my github and the link to find out more about this application!
